Founded in 1910, Delamere Forest is an undulating heathland course near Northwich in Cheshire, which presents golfers with a good challenge, with most of the hazards created out of the natural lie of the land.
It is a thinking man’s course with firm greens in the summer making careful tee-shot placement essential to leave a good angle in to the pins. There are a wide variety of holes here, with some long tough par 3s, which contrasts nicely with some short, but testing, par 4s.
The clubhouse is a beautiful old building and a post-round pint in comfortable surroundings is an absolute must.
Best Hole: The 16th is a very tough par-3 that plays 197 to a two-tier green.
Green Fees: £36 per round, £50 per day
