St. Andrews Bay Torrance Course

The sight of the Old Course and famous town from the 17th is simply awesome

For those after an old-fashioned golfing experience with state of the art off-course luxury, the St. Andrews Bay Resort is a must. Situated on the cliffs overlooking the most famous old stretch of golfing territory in the world, the resort offers 209 rooms, three restaurants, a spa and two championship tracks.

As the name suggests Sam Torrance designed this one using all his nous to sculpt a great course on a prime stretch of golfing territory. And Uncle Sam has done an impressive job too, combining a naturally, Scottish links setting with a modern championship feel. The result is a test that requires your 'A' game. Throughout the round there are stunning views of the Bay but the sight of the Old Course and famous town from the 17th is simply awesome.

Known as 'Sam's Favorite' this short par four runs along the cliff edge below the clubhouse with the North Sea waiting to catch any shot that veers off to the right. For post golf refreshments the clubhouse offers awesome views of the course and the bay at St. Andrews.

Best Hole: The 17th is an absolute beauty playing along the cliff edge ? left is best.
