Driving along the long winding road towards the clubhouse you’ll pass a couple of front nine holes on The Heritage course and it’s plain to see what sort of challenge lies ahead. Huge bunkers, wide fairways and undulating greens are the hallmark of this Jack Nicklaus designed layout.

Nicklaus has moulded this undulating rural landscape into a typically American-style course with water playing a prominent role on both nines. And as you’d expect The Heritage is no pitch and putt, playing a massive 7208 off the back tees. Long straight hitting is vital.

The back nine is marginally tougher than the front starting with a long par 4 that features water running down the left hand side of the fairway. Throughout the course the fairways are more generous than they appear on the tee but the greens are seriously slippery.

The clubhouse and practice facilities are excellent, so werecommend you leave a full day to fully enjoy the experience.

Best Hole The 13th is a short par 4 that requires an accurate iron shot off the tee to lay up short of the water that surrounds the green. Get your short iron approach close and a birdie is definitely on the cards.
