Tilgate Forest GC
A mature, well-maintained track that belies its pay and play status
If you were awarding points for how easy a golf course is to find then Tilgate Forest would come out top of the class. Unlike many courses, there's no rabbit warren of B roads to negotiate here - just a two minute tootle off junction 10 on the M23 outside of Crawley in Sussex.
However, being easy to get to isn't the only criteria for a good track. So it's good news for anyone considering a trip to Tilgate to find that the quality of golf on offer scores highly, too. A mature, well-maintained track that belies its pay and play status, Tilgate is a really good test of all aspects of your game.
You'll definitely need to be driving it straight and have a short game that's in good nick to negotiate your way round. For 20 quid and under, it?s an absolute bargain.
Best Hole: The 17th plays 513 yards and is scarily narrow ? not for the feint-hearted.
Location: Titmus Drive, Tilgate, West Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 5EU
Green Fees: £15.40 weekdays £20.40 weekends
Tel: 01293 530103
