Sat across Constantine Bay from the better known, but much less welcoming, St Enedoc GC, Trevose is arguably Cornwall's top course. Unlike a lot of links layouts when you're constantly launching it into the unknown, Trevose features just one blind shot making it a very fair test. But, what it certainly does share in common with other seaside courses is that the severity of the examination is usually determined by the strength of the wind. And, at Trevose it can really blow.

Aside from the wind whipping in off the Atlantic Ocean, golfers also have to negotiate a myriad of well positioned bunkers and a stream that meanders through much of the course. And, that's all before they get to the large greens which are not only large but full of subtle borrows and breaks.

For those down in this part of the world for a few days Trevose also has a full length 9 hole course which was opened in 1993 by Peter Alliss (his son Gary is the pro here) an excellent 9 hole short course where you can hone your iron play and some on course lodges where you can stay for a very reasonable price.

Best Hole: We?ll go with Nick. The 10th will test every facet of your game so there no time to take a breather at the turn.
