Brancepeth Castle Golf Club


Facilities: This 18 hole golf course is situated 4 miles from the centre of Durham City in the shadow of the medieval castle and was designed by Harry Colt in 1924. There is a large practice field and a full catering service.  An article in Golf Monthly a few years ago said "At Brancepeth Castle the master (Harry Colt) has bequeathed a legacy more lasting than diamonds - simply to walk it is to have the spirits uplifted"
