No 73 - Worplesdon
The recent changes to this heathland gem makes Worplesdon a great choice. A charming clubhouse only adds to the appeal of this Surrey track

Architect: Abercromby 2006 position: 66 Stats: 6,431 yds; par 71; SSS 71 GF: £70-£90 T: 01483 472277 W: worplesdongc.co.uk
Worplesdon has undergone a lot of change in the last five years with first an extensive rebunkering programme and lengthening of some holes, then latterly very significant tree and scrub clearance.
The result of this investment and hard work is a course that has managed to return to its heathland roots while still remaining a very competitive test in the era of modern equipment.
Off course, the charming clubhouse and lawned terrace provide a great spot from which to view the action at the excellent par-3 4th, while enjoying a post-round libation or two. MH
+ Several outstanding holes; tough finish; great new bunkering - Greens can be inconsistent; have to cross noisy dangerous road twice
