79 GULLANE – No.1
Architect: Park Jr 2006 position: 90 Stats: 6,466 yds; par 71; SSS 72 GF: £85-£120 T: 01620 842255 W: gullanegolfclub.com
Located in the heart of East Lothian’s coastal golf belt, Gullane No.1 provides some of the most spectacular views you will ever find on a golf course.
The 1st is a comparatively sedate opener, which takes you away from the town. The 2nd takes you up Gullane Hill from where the 3rd tee then presents the course in all its glory.
The view from the excellent 7th is truly breathtaking and leads you down to the best part of the course.
There are far more changes in elevation than on most links courses, which gives the opportunity for a fantastic variety of holes.
Enjoyable from start to finish. POH

+ Great views; fascinating links layout; exceptional 2nd hole - 1st and 18th are perhaps a little weak in comparison to other holes
