Callaway 2009 line-up revealed

Following on from Callaway’s impressive FT-5 driver is the FT-9. Hyperbolic face technology has been added to the driver which means the sweet spot is much larger. neutral or draw head sh apes are available thanks to visible stainless steel web weighting that effects trajectory and flight. The FT-9 Tour driver has a slightly open face angle and is set-up to produce a more penetrating flight.

The drivers will be available from March.

Golf Monthly flew to Munich with British Airways from Terminal 5.

It looks like 15 Feb in England but it is sparingly available in Australia. I have tried one (10 deg R Draw bias) and they have a very soft feel at impact, more like a leather ball driven off the sweet spot on a cricket bat, rather than the "tinny" or "pingy" sound from most drivers. It IS long and straight and I am not one to be easily impressed by technology (won't ever countenance a square head) . My Cobra driver is about 5 years old and my back-up is a Taylor Made R03 (just prior to the 580). Why change if it ain't broke?? But in this case I thnk I may actually dig deep and buy one of these I was so impressed.
