Ping Freestyle Stand golf bag review
Review Date: 13th February 2009
Design and Tech Benefits
The success of the high-tec carry bag has seen the introduction of two new colour combinations; yellow/orange/red and blue/pink. At under 5lbs it is Ping’s lightest stand bag, but still manages to include eight pockets and three full length dividers. Both of the double straps are pre-curved for added comfort while the main strap is retractable.

Golf Monthly Verdict
While the two new colour schemes are guaranteed to provide a mixed reaction the Freestyle still remains a superb carry bag. Particularly useful extras include a valuables pocket hidden within the long side pocket and a zip that gives easy access to the bottom of the bag.

Used this bag for about 4 rounds now and have to say it is a great bag to carry. gearing myself back up for winter golf and carrying after using the powercaddy all summer. Straps are very comfortable and pulling clubs too and from the bag is easy due to the convexed plastic rods built into main body of bag. Water bottle is very accessible when walking and stand is very stable. My only gripe and its a small one is that the main clothing pocket zip locks up when you get to about 1/4 closed. All in all a top bag.
