TaylorMade TP Red ball review
Review Date: 8th April 2009
Design and Tech Benefits
The four-piece construction is designed to be 15% softer than the original TP Red. A number of differetn dimple designs are used on the ball to maximise distance, even on mishits. A feel mantle softens impact feel, while a distance mantle improves the intial velocity for added distance.
Golf Monthly Verdict
For us this produced more spin than any other and really gripped the green on iron approach shots. It also felt extremely soft and scuffed-up on pitch shots, but was excellent for feedback and distance. A great all-rounder.

the ball has a performance to match the rest in the game. the additional mantel layers gives the ball the extra feel and the added distance that this extra layer could be taking away. the ball is a definite improvement on the last but as with the ProV1 the next will have many boxes to tick again and many more is to improve along with the rest of the game.
