Callaway Tour ix ball review
Review Date: 8th April 2009
Design and Tech Benefits
A slightly thicker mantle layer and firmer cover than the Tour i. This helps give added distance on the long shots and control on high-spinning pitch shots. The cover design negates the need for a seam.
Golf Monthly Verdict
This definitely feels firmer than the Tour i, but still feels softer off the putter face than many others. The firmer cover did not cut up on pitch shots as much as its softer counterpart, but there is still plenty of control on offer.

I'll admit it, I do love playing with "better player" type balls.
These keep remarkably straight even in cross winds, and they fly a long way too. The best thing about these is the way they feel off the putter face and the wedges, I may only be an aspiring 15 handicapper, but these are real class, even if they aren't cheap, but I'm lucky I have a wide golf course for my occasional errant shot!
