TaylorMade Tour Burner driver review
Price: £279.00
Once you get over the slightly odd look of the Tour Burner's head you'll be impressed with the distance and accuracy on offer.

The small crown and oversize sole are designed to create a centre of gravity that is 40% lower in the clubface than the Burner TP's. The head is designed to help create a high launch angle and low spin rate for longer, straighter drives. A TP version is also available (£379) which sits 2 degrees open and is available in a choice of three shafts.
Golf Monthly Verdict
The Tour Burner driver made an immediate impact on tour when it went straight into many of the TaylorMade players’ bags. The crown of the driver is considerably smaller than the oversize sole. “Inverted Cone Technology” is used in both the driver and the new Tour Burner irons to enlarge the sweetspot and offer more forgiveness.

Bought this after a demo day at Silvermere. Pretty much every manufacturer was there but I couldn't find anything that was any much better than my Srixon W506 until the last stand where I picked this up. 3 shots into the net at the back of the range with a slight draw (normally hit a slight fade), good height and not too much spin and I was sold. Forgiveness on my low on the heal bad shot is also excellant.
I have the 10.5 Stiff, play off 9 and with a swing speed of around 105 to 108mph carry the ball on average about 250 to 260yrds. Longest drive with it so far is 310 yrds (on flat terain with a slight following wind).

i have been using the taylormade tour burner 10.5 degrees since october when i got it for my 13th birthday i am off 22 handicap and when i first got the club i was driving fine it was a good flight and shape and it was going about 220 yards but when i switched my grip to improve my irons the driving gradually got worse and worse but now i use a slightly different grip from my irons to hit my driver and now my dring is back the to the way it was with an added bit of shape and distance
