Design and Tech Benefits

The King Cobra S9-1 driver has a traditional shape. Cobra's 9-point technology has been improved to offer a better transfer of energy from the clubface to the ball. Internal ribs are placed behind the face to help provide a powerful sound at impact. This club will suit those looking for high levels of forgiveness on off-centre strikes and a higher ball flight.

Golf Monthly Verdict

The King Cobra S9-1 driver is a superb new offering that looks great and is extremely forgiving thanks to the deep-face design. The sound off the face is just right and it produced a high flight without too much spin on the ball.

A great driver very crisp and powerful, one thing though, it sends the ball very very high if you go by the rule of half the ball above the head, so expect to tee it a a little lower , perhaps a quarter of the ball above the head for the best ball flight.

just brought a s9-1 m driver with 10.5 loft and a stiff shaft to replace the rather iffy driver in a otherwise excellent wilson 'complete set'. I tried regular and stiff shafts, the regular going far to high whilst the stiff launches at a really penetrating trajectory with tons of roll. It did take me a few swings to get used to it- and i scuffed the first few shots- but eventually was hitting naff range balls with a 200+ yard carry with far more consitency and far less fade/slice than i am prone to. For £79 at centregolf- it's amazing value. Cant wait to get out on a course and hit some real balls!
