Design and Tech Benefits
An external sole weight pad moves the centre of gravity significantly further back and slightly lower in the head to help produce a high flight with low spin. As with the PING G15 driver this is also available as a draw version.
The PING G15 fairway wood should suit golfers who want a good all-round performer, need to straighten out their long game, and are looking for extra yards from a fairway wood.
Golf Monthly Verdict
This has the unusual, but impressive, combination of a shallow face and a long head. This provides the best of both worlds with impressive forgiveness levels and the ability to hit from tight lies and semi-rough. It does not offer the workability of the i15, but is more forgiving.
