Review Date: 10th July 2008
Nike SasQuatch 2
Price: £169.00
This classic-looking Nike fairway wood made its way into the bag of the world's number one player. We take a closer look at its performance benefits.
Design and Tech Benefits
The new monorail sole design should cut through the majority of lies yet also work well off a tee-peg. Extra weight in the back of the clubhead results in greater distance and a higher launch angle.
Golf Monthly Verdict
A really nice look and feel to this one and only good things to write about its performance. Good head size, crisp contact and easy to see why many of Nike's tour pros have put one in their bags.

I own a 15 degree 3 wood SasQuatch and i really enjoy the maneuverability this club can pull off in a tight situation. The "monorail" track on the bottom of the club cuts through the rough and fairway like nothing else and the ball really rockets off the face. This club is also a very viable option to use off the tee because, as previously mentioned, the maneuverability of the club. I can really shape the ball to my liking and cut it around some trees if needed. The best thing i would say about the club is the feel of the club, i have played a couple of other woods like the Talyormade Burner and The Big Bertha and by far this club feels the best out of the three. It feels almost like a long iron when hit filling me with confidence whenever i hit it. The Talyormade and Big Bertha feel dead to me and the SasQuatch really feels nice. I would strongly recommend this club to an experienced player looking to hit that par 5 in two.

I tried my friend's one when we were at the range. Hitting the ground before the ball wasn't much of a problem as the club instead of bouncing cut into the ground and still made good contact. Even with my bad amateur golfing skills there wasn't one slice or hook in any of my shots. Very light and flies high and straight.
