Mizuno F-60 fairway wood review

Mizuno F-60 fairway
Price: £119.00
The Mizuno F-60 fairway wood is an extremely versatile club promising playability and shot-shaping potential from a variety of different lies.
Design and Tech Benefits
This classic-looker’s very deep centre of gravity and slightly larger head size are the fruits of an ultra-light titanium crown that constitutes just 3% of total head weight. This helps produce a high, powerful ball flight, while an increased sole radius compared to its F-50 predecessor promises added versatility.
Golf Monthly Verdict
Beautiful, unfussy address look as you’d expect from Mizuno, and a very easy-playing club from a variety of lies. Much crisper feel than its composite F-50 forerunner, and I hit it noticeably straighter off the deck than I usually do with fairway woods.

As a beginner, I'm not the apparent target market of this club (Mizuno's website says it's aimed at mid-very low handicappers), but as I'd managed to get MX-19 irons and an MX-560 driver for not very much, I thought I'd complete the set with another Mizuno, particularly as it was on offer. Bought the F-60 3-wood with a regular steel shaft and I have to say it's all I could have asked for - even at this early stage in my golf hobby (I've played about 10 rounds), I find I can hit this straight and long either off the tee or the floor and I've even managed to get a few launched from some favourable rough lies!! Looks tiny compared to some of the others I tried and playing partners have commented on it, but they soon swallow their words when they see how it goes!! I've hit a couple of second shots on par-5's that have almost reached the green and I have a long way to go yet before I can even play to a 28, so someone who know's what they're doing can't go wrong with this club.
