TaylorMade Burner 2.0 irons
Golf Monthly Verdict

The 2009 Burner irons have received a facelift rather than a complete redesign. The silver face and darker heel and toe finish remains and this frames the ball well and inspires confidence. The sound has definitely been softened, which in turn helps to give an improved feel. Like the previous design the strong lofts and weighting in the head help these clubs fly a long way. The TaylorMade Burner 2.0 irons feature a very forgiving head design that looks better at address than the previous model. The head colour looks great behind the ball. The extra yardage, thanks to the technology and stronger lofts, will take some adapting to for those who use traditional lofts. PGA Pro verdict Very striking product, enhancing the features and benefits of the original model. Very powerful and the ease of use is right up there. The larger head may not suit all, but these irons will help increase distance. The redesigned sole gives a really good feel. Will be a good product for all categories, but more towards the 8 handicaps and above (Reviewed by John Jacobs)

The TaylorMade Burner 2.0 irons are available in eight different shaft options including Superfast steel and graphite and Project X.

After the success of the original Burner irons, the TaylorMade Burner 2.0 irons are designed to offer more feel and playability. The sound and feel have been refined thanks to an improved vibration management system. Weight distribution has been improved throughout the set to optimise flight. The face thickness is different in every iron for added distance in the long clubs and better feel in the short.

The TaylorMade Burner 2.0 irons will suit players who struggle with distance throughout the set and/or those who want added forgiveness combined with a good-looking head shape.
