Design and Tech Benefits

This new tour-inspired chrome muscleback is forged from soft 1025 carbon steel. It has a classic profile, minimal progressive offset, a shorter hosel length in the long irons to realign weight bias for improved launch, and a slightly narrower sole than its ZB Forged stablemate with one degree more sole bounce. The distinctive Z-Muscle design in the back helps ensure the centre of gravity is precisely located for a solid feel off the centre of the blade.

Golf Monthly Verdict

A classy clean-looking club at address, yet not an excessively small blade to my eye. I hit the 5-iron well on a nice trajectory, and felt it had a subtly different feel to its three Titleist stablemates. There did seem to be a welcome hint of forgiveness too, although I felt it prudent not to hit too many deliberate (!) thins on a cold test morning. Very nice club for the better-than-average ball-striker.

Was going to purchase MP62's but changed my mind in the shop at the last minute. I was swayed to Titleist by my solid, old 905R driver. The ZM's are heavy, solid clubs and easy to work with a very strong ball flight. I purchased these to replace my TM RAC TP forged set in an attempt to move to a pure blade and as such am very happy with the change. They are more forgiving than I had anticipated, though swipes will be punished accordingly (and severly!!), and IMO are more forgiving than the MP32's for example. If you are a good ball striker and prepared to put in some work then these are a good investment. If you do not have the time look elsewhere, e.g the ZB's or MP52's are very good and offer a bit more forgiveness. The ZM's are not as soft as a Mizuno and have a very definate solid click from the sweet spot, though I personally like this now that I have got used to it.
