Yonex VMX irons review
Review Date: 15th July 2009
Design and Tech Benefits
The Yonex VMX irons have a mid-size steel head and ultra thin face, which should provide extra power and forgiveness. These irons should suit golfers who prefer confidence-inspiring long irons, and who want trademark Yonex forgiveness.

Golf Monthly Verdict
The Yonex VMX irons may fall into the ‘forgiving’ bracket but they do not look enormous at address. The feel off the face was also impressive.

These are the first Yonex golf clubs that I have owned and I am seriously impressed. They seem to fit a mid hadicapper like me perfectly - not so small and precise that I need to have a perfect strike every time, but not so big and bulky that I cant nip them off tight lies or feel like a real player using them.
I get a very high flight with them and have had to adjust my play accordingly, sometimes taking a 7 where I might have previously have taken an 8. But they land on the greens with a reassuring thump and the ball always holds the putting surface nicely.
I get great feedback from them and they have a really nice balanced feel whether playing a full swing or a three quarter one with a choked down grip.
The finish is very nice and has held up well to a lot of use.
I'll certainly be going back to see what Yonex have to offer the next time I change my clubs.
