Nike VR Split Cavity irons review
Review Date: 15th July 2009
Design and Tech Benefits
The Nike VR Split Cavity irons are compact irons with the forgiveness of a wider sole, thicker topline and more offset that the VR blade. These irons would suit golfers who want forgiveness from a compact head, and who prefer a beautifully-classic-looking set.
- Nike Sasquatch Dymo fairway wood
- Nike Sasquatch Sumo 2 driver
- Nike SV Black wedge
- Nike Slingshot 4D irons
Golf Monthly Verdict
Over the ball, the Nike VR Split Cavity irons look like a blade but from the back you can see a cavity that helps forgiveness. Any decent ball striker will like the forged feel.

i was fitted for a set of these and find them to be a really great bridge between blades and cavities. lovely feel off them when struck out the middle but even off centres dont lose too much, the feedback is such you can tell where the ball has come off the face.
my only gripe was the quality of the grips i felt them a bit slippy in the wet so if your getting fitted upgrade these. i have projrct x 5.5 shafts and love them i am off 12 and feel this is a club that i would be happy with at 18 or 6
well worth a look in june as your getting 4 doz tour d balls
