Design and Tech Benefits

Seven grams of weight have been removed from the tuning port in the back of the head of the PING G15 irons and repositioned to help provide high launch and optimal spin. The face is thinner than previous models and weight is added to the toe of the head for more stability and forgiveness.

The PING G15s should suit golfers who want high-quality game-improving irons, need to gain more accuracy and distance, and prefer large, confidence-inspiring heads.

Golf Monthly Verdict

The PING G15 irons are ideal for anyone looking for top-quality game-improving irons that will aid their progression. The large heads produce a penetrating flight, particularly compared with many game-improvement irons, which tend to hit the ball very high, but lose distance. While the thick sole undoubtedly helps get the ball up and away, we found that this made them quite hard to hit from tight lies.

I am a 47 year old returning to golf following a back operation 3 years ago, Handicap 23 and looking to improve.
I have a G15 Driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, 23 degree Hybrid, 5 to SW irons.

Played about 6 rounds with these clubs and I really like them, especially the irons
I am getting very consistant distances with all the irons, great flight and good backspin from the tee on the par 3's. I have no problem with different lies.

the 5 and 6 irons send the ball miles. Looks good at address, Easy to hit and as forgiving as any club I have tried

These are definately clubs for medium to high handicappers looking to improve and get more consistancy, I hope they will get me down to the low teens,

There are some things in life we mistakenly put off owning just because of their unappealing looks. Volvos, carpet slippers and Ping irons spring readily to mind. But then once you do get around to trying them you realise just how very, very good they are. And I have loved these G15s from the moment I bought them. They are so easy to hit and incredibly forgiving. My good shots produce great results and my dodgy shots still manage to end up half decent.
The custom fitting process was unhurried and comprehensive. I particularly liked the fact that there were a number of shafts to test. It was not merely a choice between steel and graphite, but a selection of options within these. It is also pleasing that Ping sell the clubs individually. I already have hybrids up to and including the 5 iron and I am happy with my current specialist wedges. So it is nice to buy only the 6, 7, 8 and 9 irons I wanted.
The good results I get from the G15s have promoted a greater confidence. That confidence has helped me swing better. Swinging better has meant better results. It is very much an upward spiral improving my play and my enjoyment.
And I am even growing to like they way they look at address!
