Titleist ZB Forged irons

Price: £750.00

Titleist ZB Forged irons are high performance, blended cavity-to-muscle back forged irons offering great feel and feedback for the better player.

Design and Tech Benefits

Key features of the ZB Forged are three different head types with blade lengths becoming longer in the long irons with the aim being appropriate levels of playability and forgiveness at either end of the set. The Z-Back design ensures the centre of gravity is in the centre of the face for a solid feel. Sole width is narrow to help reduce “skip” from firmer lies while still providing sufficient bounce to prevent excessive “digging”.

Golf Monthly Verdict

The ZB longer irons have great shelf appeal, and a higher ball flight than Titleist's AP2. I found them to offer superb levels of forgiveness and playability.

I think these clubs are great, they look good standing over them and working ball is brilliant. Difficult to hit mind, so if your not a good ball striker forget it. Comparing these with the Callaway and Mizuno id say these are the best deal. You get loads of feel and playing in tough conditions it gives you the best chance to work your shots.

Be careful, you might look like a pro golfer and talk like a pro golfer but make sure you can strike it like a golfer before purchasing.

Decided to go for these clubs after trial session trying out Callaway X20 tour, X Forged, ZB and AP2. From the clubs that I tried these had the best results. Another reason I chose the ZB was for the short game (chipping and pitching) that the heads look great and I find these easier to chip with. However I have sufferred with a shoulder injury since having them in September and have not played with them as much as I would have liked. Now is not the best time for distance comparisons with my old clubs
(TM 300 series), but you can still appreciate a good solid strike.
