Cleveland CG Red irons

Cleveland CG Red
Price: £499.00
The CG Red is the more compact-headed model in the CG range and as such us the model more likely to appeal to mid- to low-handicappers who like to be able to work the ball and manipulate their flight.
Design and Tech Benefits
The CG Red is a tour-spec shallow cavity designed to provide better players with improved feedback and greater scope to work the ball. The firmer red gelback insert generates a soft feel off the centre and a little more feedback on mis-hits, while reduced offset allows greater workability. The thinner topline should fit the better player's eye, with the squarer toe a response to feedback from Cleveland's tour staff.
Golf Monthly Verdict
The head sits smartly at address, and there are noticeable differences between this and the CG Gold. The Red has a solid feel and a penetrating flight, and seemed capable of generating above average distances.

I love these irons. I bought them recently and haven't looked back. I am getting the perfect flight and a great response. I cannot wait until the season starts. I can already see myself hitting less around the course. A+ Well Worth the Money

Brought a set of CG Reds when I exchanged in my MP30's. Had them custom fit (upright lie, 1/2" added to length) and haven't looked back really. Great feel off the middle, and forgiving on off-centre ball strikes. Long irons are easy to hit, and very nice feel on the short stuff and around the greens. They look great at address. My ball flight is slightly higher than before, although thats ok when going at pins. Was a mizuno disciple for years, but these irons deliver similar feel and playability and they're alot cheaper. Some people have moaned that they don't look that good, but i'm a golf player, not a poser who stands around their bag on the putting green pretending. Highly recommend these clubs for serious minded mid/low handicap players who are interested in great results.
