With the up-and-coming golfer in mind, Nike have designed a fantastic full cavity iron. With a great feel and ball flight.

Design and Tech Benefits
The Nike Victory Red irons are full cavity irons with more offset than the other models. The head is made from 431 stainless steel, which is 25% softer than 17-4 stainless steel. The centre of gravity is back in the head and a thicker face at the bottom helps create high-launching shots. The undercut cavity and perimeter weighting should increase the moment of inertia (MOI) for forgiveness on mis-hits.
Golf Monthly Verdict
Nike continue to design impressive, ultra-forgiving sets that offer plenty of margin for error. There is a huge difference visually compared to the rest of the Victory Red range with forgiveness levels at a premium. The long irons inspired confidence.

I bought the nike vr irons about 4 months ago and to say they've improved my game is an understatement!! I'm a 27 handicapper and before i had these i was using a 10 year old second hand bargain basement set so never realised what a quality fitted set would do to help me but these nike victory reds have helped no end (standard length, 2degrees upright, regular flex). My ball striking has improved and 99% of the time my shots go the way that i'm facing, which can only be a good thing. Since buying this iron set i've gone and won 2 saturday comps at my club and i'm hoping this year to lower my handicap more with the aid of the clubs.
My playing partners have had a swing with them (all of them being taylormade users) and have noted that the heads are slightly heavier than theirs but i feel this only helps me as i get more control due to not having to swing as fast or hard as the others to get the distance that i need.
I would highly recommend this set to anyone who is looking for a good set of game improving irons at a resonable price (i got mine 4-pw for 400pounds)

I've had a set of the full cavity Victory Reds for about three months now and i'm very impressed with them. My playing partners all play with TaylorMades and I was never really impressed by them so i thought i'd try this set. The heads do feel heavier than the TaylorMade sets but i feel this helps me as a high handicapper as i don't have to swing so hard to get the length i need. My shots have gone a lot straighter with a nice amount of height on them which is nice to watch as it makes its way towards the green. I now aim this year to enter more comps(I've already won two with these clubs) and get my handicap down, and these clubs are the ones to get me there.
This is a set i'd highly recommend to anyone who wants a good quality game improver iron set.

When Nike first started making golf clubs it seemed all about getting their top-end gear right for Tiger and the other professionals. Their game improvement clubs never lived up to Nikes reputation of producing good equipment that looked the business. These earlier models might possibly have been effective, I dont know, but can anyone remember them now? When forking out good money you want irons to not just perform well but also inspire you every time you reach into your golf bag. Finally Nike have got it not just right but absolutely spot on.
The full cavity VRs are a delight to swing. They swat the ball away beautifully. And they are a joy to look at. Kind of simple but with classy clean lines. You'll gain confidence not just from their looks but also their performance - a complete package for the mid- to high-handicapper.
Naturally to get the full benefit you should opt for the custom fit, because there's no point in penny pinching when you are purchasing a set that is so good it will last you a long time.
I am so impressed with these that I wonder where Nike go next. It seems manufacturers feel the need to update their line every year. But what if you cannot improve upon what you have already? Perhaps the VR full cavity iron will buck the trend and be left alone as their game-improvement iron for a few years to come.
