Design and Tech Benefits

The Callaway X-20 "Progressive Wall Reduction System” pushes centre of gravity 6% lower than the Callaway X-18's for improved playability. Extreme Notch Weighting promises extra stability at impact.

Golf Monthly Verdict

Familiar Callaway looks at address and easy to hit throughout. We loved the long irons, which had a fantastically solid feel, but unless the breeze had freshened imperceptibly, the short irons didn't seem to fly quite as far as other deepish cavity models.

Callaway Irons

I went to the callaway fitting centre to get the right fit of these irons for my size and swing. For anyone who has never been, I would highly recommend it. I now have a new set of irons set up for me, my shots are straighter (not really any longer), with as near to perfect amounts of backspin and almost no side spin. This has given me a much greater level of accuracy (Shot dispersion). The irons look good, and play good, with a larger sweet spot even the odd bad shot was still on the edge of the fairway.
I am really waiting for next spring, to get out more often and really see if i can get my handicap down even further.
