Ping Redwood Anser review

Price: £190.00

Don't be put off by the price, this Ping Redwood Anser putter really delivers. It has a classic look, and is beautifully weighted, performing particularly well from long range.

Design and Tech Benefits

Redwood is a new range of milled putters featuring classic Ping head shapes. The 303 stainless steel heads are designed to provide a slightly heavier, more solid feel. The heads are 100% milled to fine tolerances for precision and to create a classic look. The rich black-nickel chrome colouring, also used in Ping's Tour wedges, provides the finishing touch.

Golf Monthly Verdict

A lovely look to this classic-shaped Ping putter, and a great feel off the blade on any length of putt. Enjoyable to use and everything you'd expect of a Ping putter at this price point. Felt it could prove an extremely useful addition to the bag. Excellent.

A classic putter...

I've been using this putter for almost a year now - A custom fitted 36" SS shaft. The balance is absolutely incredible, perfectly weighted & a style all of it's own.

It cost me almost as much as my driver but it's something I consider lifelong, can't see me changing this club for a long time.

Been using this putter for the last month, and i have to say its a joy. i bought it with a 34" shaft and have been amazed at the difference its made to my putting. as we all know, putting is all about confidence and feel, and just changing to a shorter shaft as given me a more comfortable set up position. As for the putter head itself, it looks great behind the ball and feels even better through the stroke. With PING you know your buying quality, so do yourself a favour and try one today, i don't think you'll be disapointed.

I have been using Anser Putters for 30yrs this is best one I have used on the grainy greens of South Africa it is great. On long putts it is brilliant and standing over it with a knee knocking four footer for par on the last green the cleean lines give you so much confidence. The price is a wee bit expensive but dont tell the wife and I will be ok
