Callaway FT-IZ hybrid

Price: £179.00

A review of the Callaway FT-IZ hybrid

11136|000003b4d|7da5_orh160w270_Callaway-FT-IZ-Hybrid

Design and Tech Benefits

The offset Callaway FT-IZ incorporates Callaway's Fusion technology, which combines a stainless steel body with high-density weights to maximise perimeter weighting. The result should be excellent stability and a low CG.

The Callaway FT-IZ produced impressive length but the head is almost a fairway wood.

Golf Monthly Verdict

This looks like a fairway wood at address and produces impressive distance and forgiveness. This makes it a great go to option when things aren’t going well from off the tee.

Hello there,Callaway has made some really nice clubs for sraeevl years. So, even 14 year old Callaway clubs would be nice clubs. However, there have been a lot of technical innovations since 1995. You newer generic clubs may have adapted some of those changes. The specifics would depend on the type of generic clubs you have. Some are quite good. That aside, I wonder why you want to make the switch. Are you not satisfied with how your generic clubs perform? Or are you more interested in having a brand name set of clubs. If it is the later, that is all right. Having a brand name may make you feel better when out with the guys. If you feel better about your clubs, you will enjoy the game more, whether you play better or not.Switching clubs may not improve your game. Switching to a set of fitted clubs may. However, fitted clubs may not be within your budget. If you are looking to improve your game and have a limited budget, you might consider using the money you would spend on switching clubs to buy some lessons. That is more likely to improve your game than switching clubs (unless there is really something wrong with the perforemance of your present set).Perhaps if you elaborate more on what you hope to achieve by switching clubs, the readers can give you more specific advice.Good luck to you,
