The Innovator wedge combines the forgiveness of a cavity back with the feel of a blade. It achieves this through a 'flow-weighting' system that delivers a soft, cushioning feel at impact no matter where you make contact. A soft satin finish helps reduce glare in sunny conditions.
Golf Monthly Verdict
This wedge offers an interesting combination of feel and forgiveness. You might expect a relatively large head to offer very little in terms of feel or feedback, but in fact it impressed in both categories. This is a very good club for anyone who finds standard cavity back wedges too chunky, but who is intimidated by the idea of using a pure blade around the greens.

Benross Innovator Wedge (58 deg 10 deg bounce)
Budget price but definately not in looks or performance Benross have once again produced a superb peice of kit which easily competes with more expensive models. Being suitably impressed with my other Benross purchases it was a no brainer when I decided to purchase a wedge.
First impressions were pleasing.......the Innovator is a sleek ,unfussy looking club with the anti glare satin finish setting the head off nicely. Coupled with a 'sexy' black and red golf pride grip straight away I wasn't thinking budget but 'fantastic value for money'......something close to my heart !
Looks dont tell the full story so a quick trip to the range was in order to put my new toy through it's paces.....and I wasn't dissapointed. In the hands the Innovator has a nice feel ,the good sized head sat smartly at address and instilled me with confidence immediately.
My first shot confirmed what I already knew as I sent the ball on a pleasingly high trajectory coupled with a soft and almost immediate stop on landing. A dozen more followed suit creating a little nest of balls at the 50yd marker.......'this is such an easy club to use' I thought as even the slightly miss hit shots still rose majestically and landed with pleasing accurracy. The innovator slid beautifully under the ball creating a lovely soft feeling on contact akin to caressing the ball in to the air....yep I was impressed.
With a better ball and a green as my target I am confident the Innovator will produce spin for me.....and you.
Just so the 58 deg Innovator doesn't feel lonely in my bag I've just ordered the 54 deg to keep it company! So if your in the market for a wedge and are not blinkered by 'names' or 'price' then you could do far worse then giving the Benross Innovator Wedges a serious look........the only problem you will be faced with is how to spend the considerable savings!
