Whilst I had always had a fairly decent short game I must admit it was based upon high gentle lobs onto greens. So I was consistent in avoiding trouble but relied upon a good putt to actually keep my scoring going.
However, the terrific spin from these wedges have given me the confidence to really fire at the pins. Punching down onto the back of the ball with little half shots in particular produces great check shots and so they are ideal for the aggressive play.
I also find the dark club head not just appealing but also practical with no glare on bright summer days of which we did have a few in 2009!
I doubt there is a better value wedge on the market.
