Wilson Staff TW9 wedge review
Review Date: 12th February 2009
Design and Tech Benefits
The new Wilson Staff TW9 wedge is designed to make filling the gap between
your sand and pitching wedge easier. The 60°, 58°, 56°, 54° and 52°
loft options have smaller heads than the 48° and 50° models, which have
a slight cavity back. The whole TW9 range is available in gunmetal or
satin finishes.

Golf Monthly Verdict
Wilson’s new wedges looked great and sat really nicely at address; the gunmetal version looked particularly compact. The low-lofted cavity wedges produced a controlled flight on full shots, but it is the higher-lofted blade designs that really impressed for their all-round shot making.

These are very good wedges, I have the 52/56/60 degree and they have improved my shortgame incredibly, I get good spin from the Tour-Milled grooves, even on range balls and with the slight cavity back they are very easy to hit giving a very precise shot.

For a start , i am in VICTORIA , AUSTRALIA!!! Just purchased a set of the DEEP RED's with 3&4 COMPO'S .Also grabbed 52,56 &60 degree TW9s in Black/gunmetal. BEAUTIFUL, could not be happier & must say am on the pin more often than with my CLEVELANDs( still have & my hogan irons) Also grabbed a 3&4 DI5s to , as you like to say, to play depending on what is needed. Was off 12 , but have got it down to 6/7 & i would have to say it is mainly thru course management & a closer to the pin short game. Spread thru 3 diff putters though being the 8880,8884 & a white hot that seems to like me. GOOD GOLFING TO ALL. ATB AJM
