This week sees one of our bonus events with an extra 50% up for grabs at Players Championship. There are also plenty of points to be scored out in the Indian Ocean as the European Tour heads to Mauritius.

GM tips for this week:

USA1 – Jim Furyk – Furyk looks like he’s getting back to his best with a win at the RBC Heritage and a narrow defeat to Rory McIlroy in the WGC Match Play semi-final. His runner-up spot last year will add to his confidence.

USA2Gary Woodland – Runner-up last week will give the powerful American a boost. Performed well last year with an 11th place finish.

GBLee Westwood – Westwood’s confidence must be high after his win in Indonesia and his matchplay win over Jordan Spieth last week. He has three top ten finishes in his last four appearances at The Players.

Ireland – Rory McIlroy – It would take a brave man not to go with McIlroy. Another win for the world number one last week and who would bet against him following that up with triumph in Florida.

ScandinaviaHenrik Stenson – He won this event in 2009 and was tied for fifth in 2013. He looks in good form again with three top five finishes in his last four strokeplay starts.

Rest of EuropeSergio Garcia – A winner in 2010, the Sawgrass course seems to bring the best from the Spaniard. If that continues expect him to be up there again.

Asia – Kiradech Aphibarnrat – The Thai has proved a popular pick so far. He can add to his points tally this week as he looks to benefit from the depleted field at the Mauritius Open.

South Africa – George Coetzee – The South African is another who may well prosper at the Mauritius Open with a lot of the star names heading to the States. The tri-sanctioned event is a great opportunity for the 28-year-old to add to his win at the Tshwane Open.

Australasia – Scott Hend – Another one who could bring home some points from Mauritius. The European Tour rookie has come close a couple of times this season and may well be in contention again.

South America – Angel Cabrera – Not many South Americans competing this week so an outside punt on the Argentine is the best we can do.
