Li Haotong took the spoils this week by winning the Volvo China Open for his first European Tour title and 405 fantasy golf points. Here's the round up of Fantasy Golf week 4:
In Fantasy Golf week 4 Topwin G&CC hosted the Volvo China Open which was won by Chinese sensation Li Haotong.
The 20-year-old fired a bogey-free final round 8-under-par 64 to post 22-under and win by three from Chile’s Felipe Aguilar for his first European Tour victory.
It meant Li won 405 fantasy golf points – the highest scorer of the week.
Felipe Aguilar earned 345 points with his second-place finish although he was disappointed after a double-bogey at the 16th which ended his title hopes.
England’s Richard Bland’s closing 66 left him in a tie for third on 18-under par, tied with Marcel Siem and Lucas Bjerregaard. They each scored 315 points.
On the PGA Tour it was the weather-affected Zurich Classic of New Orleans at TPC Louisiana.
Due to a deluge of rain over the weekend, the tournament was extended into Monday and only 54 holes (plus a further two play-off holes) could be completed.
Brian Stuard emerged victorious after a two-hole play-off with Byeong-Hun An and Jamie Lovemark.
Stuard played 56 bogey-free holes for his first PGA Tour victory, however he is not registered on Fantasy Golf so the lion-share of the points went to An and Lovemark – each winning 345 points.
Month one is now complete and Team of the Month is ‘popcorn2’ with 5984 points.
