Fantasy Golf Stats Round-Up: Week 10

The wonderkid Jordan Spieth took home maximum points (607) for America this week, after an incredible finish to this year’s US Open.

Louis Oosthuizen and Dustin Johnson took tied-2nd place earning 517 each, while Branden Grace, Adam Scott and the impressive Cameron Smith secured tied-4th and 442 points each.

This was hence an impressive week for the USA, Africa and Australasia, but Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry earned 292 points each for Ireland and the Argentinian Andres Romero 142 for South America.

On the flipside, it was an awful week for the Brits, with Marc Warren the standout performer with crisp ball-striking but not enough putts holed to really contend.

Overall

Sportsbob’s Scramblers have taken top spot, with the inclusions of Spieth, Osthuizen and Day all playing a big part in the dislodging of Curls, who falls down to 8th. Kiramy remains in second place, just 77 points in arrears.

Who’s hot and who’s not

Justin Rose’s US Open pedigree made him a popular choice, while Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson were others to be selected for many teams this week.

Bernd Wiesberger’s poor week at the Lyoness open saw him quickly transferred out by many of those who had only just put him in. Steven Bowditch was unsurprisingly removed due to him not playing this week, but Dustin Johnson was also deemed surplus to requirements by many. Maybe they’d seen his putting…
