Golf Betting Blog: Walker The Walk
Jimmy Walker (25/1) won on home soil making it 5 wins in 2 PGA Tour seasons, now winning his last couple by a combined 13 shots – Texas clearly not the only place he feels at home.
It was another week that only helped wet the tastebuds further for those 4 days in Georgia. New number 4 in the world Jordan Spieth (8/1) made a late charge into second while Dustin Johnson (10/1) claimed another top 6 in his astonishing post-ban form.
Current Masters odds on those guys: Walker (25/1), Johnson (18/1) and Spieth (10/1) – all perfect fits for Augusta. Jimmy Walker was 25/1 to win ANY major in 2015 not so long ago, so plenty people have been getting on board the Walker-train.
The Texan was also the first winner of the event since Adam Scott in 2010 at odds below 100/1 – Bowditch (350/1), Laird (100/1), Curtis (150/1) and Steele (300/1) were the recent winners around San Antonio.
Billy Horschel (55/1), Daniel Summerhays (66/1 Golf Monthly Pick), Cheson Hadley (250/1) and Ryan Palmer (30/1 Golf Monthly Pick) were the others to have won you money over in America. Hadley the pick of the bunch, coming in with 4 missed cuts and one top 10 this year – we didn't have our crystal ball for that one.

Over in Europe, the Trophee Hassan has been one of the stalwarts on the calender in recent years with its iconic location, course and fairway wizardry from the likes of Horsey, Larrazabal and Canizares.
This week was no different. Richie Ramsey (80/1) eventually walked away with a jewel encrusted dagger healthier with his 1-shot victory over Romain Wattel (50/1).
It's uncanny how many 'iron players' perform well in Morocco. So it was no surprise to see a certain Jose Maria Olazabal (25/1 top 10) holding the clubhouse lead midway through the final day, eventually finishing up T9. Peaking just in time for the Masters? Maybe not, but you can get 1500/1 for the Augusta double-champ.
Mikael Lundberg (250/1), Chris Wood (100/1) and Kevin Phelan (66/1) were the pick of the bunch of the guys finishing T6 or above.
If first round leader was your market of choice, Adrien Saddier was a cool 350/1 winner on that front. As we always say, there's money to be made – or in our case at the moment, lost.
