Adams XTD golf club family launched

Adams Golf has announced the launch of its new XTD family of clubs, which come with the promise of increased forgiveness and greater ball speed generation.

Adams' new XTD driver is the 'hottest face in golf', XTD fairway woods and hybrids possess a raft of new technological innovations and the XTD forged irons feature a pioneering Cut-Thru slot.

"Quite frankly, these XTD products are the best we make, thanks to a spare-no-expense mindset to create game-changing technology," said Justin Hornea, Senior Director of Research and Development.

"We ignored convention, built with premium materials and pushed the limits to jaw-dropping ball speed increased off the face for every club in the bag."

Adams XTD Driver:

Adams tested each driver head four times - at odds with current industry precedent - to ensure maximum spring-like effect while still conforming to USGA limits.

The aerodynamic XTD is also the only driver to feature Cut-Thru technology.

When combined, these two innovations provide unmatched face flexion and an enhanced sweet spot, providing greater ball speeds on both off-centre and on-centre shots.

Adams XTD Titanium Fairway Woods and Hybrids:

The XTD Ti fairway woods and hybrids combine titanium brazing, Cut-Thru Slot Technology and progressive face thickness to re-distribute mass for 29% more face speed on off-centre hits (compared to Adams Super LS fairway wood).

The clubs also feature a low centre of gravity, which helps get the ball in the air easily and consistently. Adams XTD Forged Irons with slots:

XTD Forged irons boast a floating face and hollow design - which helps to promote a fast club face - while the category's first ever Cut-Thru slots and an optimised GC location help add distance and forgiveness.

"We created a forged iron that's caught up to our legendary hybrid technology, breaking the mould of what's been around for 80 years," said Hornea.

"Most blades sacrifice distance for workability but we're giving extra yards and improvement on off-centre shots."

The seven-piece set is available from 4-PW.

Availability:

Adams XTD drivers will be available from January 2014 with a RPP of £329. XTD Ti fairway woods and hybrids will be available from December 2013 at £219.00 per club.

The XTD irons will also be available from December 2013, at a RRP of £699.99.
