ECCO launches BIOM Zero golf shoe

Danish shoe company ECCO unveiled its new BIOM Zero golf shoe at last week's PGA Show in Orlando

Ecco BIOM Zero

ECCO has announced the launch of its limited-editon BIOM Zero golf shoe, which is designed to offer walking comfort through its flexible and lightweight design.

The BIOM Zero - which comes in two colours - is the Danish shoe brand's lightest ever model, weighing in at less than ten ounces.

It employs a patented Street outsole featuring the ECCO dynamic traction system, and its direct-injected construction, flexibility and low profile combine to provide full-length foot support.

"Our brand has been heralded for redefining comfort and now we're taking that to the next level," said Michael Waack, Head of Global Golf at ECCO.

"We named BIOM Zero after the zero heel drop, but also because it's as close as you can get to a golf shoe that feels like wearing nothing and playing barefoot."

The new ECCO offering is constructed from stain-resistant Caldera Leather Uppers and contains Second Skin Leather Lining.

It is also treated with long-lasting and water-resistant Hydromax and put together using ECCO's unique Direct Injected Midsole process, which provides comfort and stability in a one-piece shoe.

The BIOM Zero will be available as a limited-edition style from February.
