In addition to the new Nike VR Pro driver, Nike Golf has also introduced its new Victory Red hybrids and in February, to accompany the launch of the driver, the VR Pro fairway woods will join the range.

This follows the successful launch of the Nike Victory Red irons range in November 2008.

The VR Pro fairways combine the Variable Compression Channel, also found in the VR Pro driver, and the STR8-FIT face angle technology. The new Variable Full Compression Channel on the VR Pro fairway woods increases speed at impact in more spots on the clubface delivering greater distance.

As with the Nike VR Pro driver, the VR Pro fairway woods feature a Tour-inspired design with a traditional pear-shaped club head. The VR Pro woods have a flatter sole and lower profile, which promotes confidence and greater control.

The workability of the VR Pro fairway wood is perfected with the STR8-FIT Tour technology providing 32 options to customise the club face angle.

Meanwhile, the new hybrids aim to deliver more speed on the clubface for more penetrating shots. The full Compression Channel technology along with variable face thickness creates a face 21% hotter than Nike’s previous VR hybrid, which increases speed for greater distance and control.

The VR Pro hybrid is designed with a sole that produces cleaner hits from any turf condition. The Sole Camber is flatter on lower lofts for tighter lies and deeper on higher lofts for more shot options.

The flatter sole of the VR Pro hybrid keeps more of the club on the ground, maintaining a seamless transition from hybrids to irons.
