Ping adds new models to Scottsdale TR putter line

Ping has expanded its Scottsdale TR line with the addition of three new putter models: the Anser T, the Craz-E and the counter-balanced Senita B.

The Scottsdale TR range - which offers variable-depth grooves and adjustable-length shafts - now comprises 15 putter models.

"True Roll technology has proved to be very popular because variable-depth grooves offer consistent ball speeds and unmatched distance control," said John A. Solheim, Ping's Chairman and CEO.

"Golfers are making a higher percentage of their putts, even from longer range. That comes from the accuracy this technology provides, along with the added confidence, which is essential on the greens."

Variable-Depth grooves are deeper in the centre of the putter and shallower towards the perimeter to deliver consistent ball speeds across the face. Ping claims the insert increases ball-speed consistency by nearly 50%.

The new 360-gram Anser T is a blade-style design which utilises Ping's Anser head and a bridge-style alignment aid.

The 365-gram mallet-style Craz-E - a design which originally debuted in 2004 - also joins the TR family.

The third new model is the Senita B, which provides the feel and performance of a belly putter without anchoring.

The 38-inch standard shaft has a 50-gram weight at the grip end to help counter-balance the 400-gram head. This creates a high balance point to encourage a pendulum-like stroke and help to release the putter head.

New Scottsdale TR RRPs:

Anser T - £149 (adjustable); £129 (non-adjustable) Craz-E - £169 (adjustable); £149 (non-adjustable) Senita B Counter Balanced - £195 (adjustable); £175 (non-adjustable)
