Golf Monthly Editor Mike Harris gives his Ping i25 driver review

Above, Golf Monthly Editor Michael Harris gives his Ping i25 driver review - constructed to deliver both distance and accuracy.

The adjustable Ping i25 drivers comes with patented racing stripes on the crown, a new Power Weighting Responsiveness shaft family and Ping’s Trajectory Tuning technology.

High-density tungsten weights raise the i25 driver’s Moment of Inertia and lower the centre of gravity, helping generate optimum spin and maximum roll.

Patented racing stripes on the crown – the same width as the golf ball – alongside a new innovative Power Weighting Responsiveness shaft family, help maintain a constant swing weight across all Ping i25 driver offerings.

The i25 driver is fitted with Ping’s proprietary shaft family called PWR (performance, weighting and responsiveness)

The PWR 55-, 65-, and 75-gram shafts, nine options altogether, offer unique weights and stiffness profiles, but they do not alter the club’s swing weight.

Golfers can also fine-tune launch conditions by adding or subtracting half a degree of loft on the uniquely optimized 8.5°, 9.5°and 10.5° heads.

What’s more, Ping’s Trajectory Tuning technology utilizes an adjustable hosel that makes it easy to use, lightweight and aerodynamically efficient.

Ping's i25 driver is part of a complete i25 range also featuring i25 irons and i25 fairway woods and hybrids.

It was relased into the marketplace in February 2014.
