The new Ping Tour wedge features new Gore Groove technology, designed to offer improved control and consistency. Ping engineers say they are able to precision mill the grooves at its Phoenix headquarters to hold extreme tolerances, to maximise performance. Three different sole widths will be available, to suit different swings and conditions.

These are the thin sole (TS) for firm conditions and those with shallow swings, wide sole (WS) for soft conditions, those with steep swings and particularly for use from bunkers, and a standard sole (SS). All three options are designed to be versatile and allow the head to be opened up. The Ping Tour head is traditional in shape and features a tuning port in the cavity designed to improve forgiveness and help to provide a solid feel.

The Tour wedge (£113) will be available in 47° (SS), 50° (SS), 52° (SS), 54°(SS, WS), 56° (SS, WS), 58° (SS, WS, TS) and 60° (SS, WS, TS).
