Puma Biofusion Tour golf shoe launched

Puma Golf has announced the launch of the Puma Biofusion Tour golf shoe, which forms part of the brand's 'LiteStyle' platform.

Biofusion features a range of innovative footwear technologies to promote a comfortable, stylish and lightweight golf shoe.

Puma has also added the Biofusion Spikeless Mesh to its LiteStyle golf shoe collection.

The Biofusion Spikeless Mesh is even lighter weight, spikeless version of the Biofusion Tour, and employs a waterproof mesh to provide long-lasting durability.

The Puma Biofusion also comes with a two-year waterproof guarantee.

"The Biofushion literally fuses out most advanced and top performing technologies into a system that works together to create a revolutionary golf shoe," said Grant Knudson, footwear manager, PUMA Golf.

"Our goal here is to provide golfers with the best of what Puma Golf has to offer, merging function and fashion to improve their game and increase confidence on the course."

The pure-cell structure design in the shoe's upper used engineered shapes and Rovenica Plus microfibre, which creates a supportive, lightweight and breathable golf shoe.

The Puma Biofusion's lacing system is independent from the upper, and offers maximum support and stability to the midfoot while providing a customised fit.

A superthin PowerFrame outsole utilises strategically-placed flex grooves and traction elements that, when coupled with a FusionFoam midsole and integrated external heel counter, provides flexibility and stability.

"Every shoe we have developed for our 2014 collection, including Biofusion, began with the LiteStyle vision: lightweight performance, comfort and style," said Tom Manthe, Puma Golf's Global Marketing Manager.

The average weight of the 2014 Puma Golf LightStyle golf shoe is line in just 10.4 ounces, with the lightest model - also the lightest shoe in golf - weighing in at 6.5 ounces.

According to Rickie Fowler, the Puma Biofusion is 'easily the best golf shoe I've ever worn.'

The Puma Biofusion golf shoe is available in four colour options - Vibrant Orange/White, Black/White/Puma Silver, White/Tradewinds/Fluro Yellow and White/Black - and available from February 1, 2014.

Puma's Biofusion has an RRP of £130. Puma is also launching the Biofusion Lite golf shoe, which is available from March 1 - in three colourways - with a RRP of £90.
