New Titleist 712 AP2 irons have been launched. The multi-material design of the new AP2 irons has been created to offer players a blend of tradition feel and looks with modern playability and forgiveness.

Titleist has used a forged carbon steel body with a high density tungsten weight design to increase the Moment of Inertia by 7% in the new AP2 irons. The sole widths of the 8, 9 and PW have been reduced to help the way the club moves through the turf at impact.

The new Titleist AP2 irons have a square toe profile, something specifically requested by the brand’s Tour players. The small, progressive offset has also been introduced to improve playability across the broad spectrum of golfers attracted to the traditional look and feel of the new AP2 irons.

The stock shaft for the new Titleist AP2 irons is Dynamic Gold and the stock grip is the Titleist Tour Velvet by Golf Pride. A broad spectrum of alternative grips and shafts are available through the Titleist custom fitting service.

The new Titleist 712 AP2 irons will be available on November 18th 2011 and will come with a recommended retail price of £114 for steel shafts and £130 graphite.
