Wilson Staff DXi Superlight driver

Wilson Staff has launched its lightest-ever driver as part of its new 2012 golf range to help golfers of all abilities improve their game.

The Wilson Staff DXi Superlight driver weighs 269 grams - 50g less than most traditional drivers on the market - and is designed to deliver greater clubhead speed and distance.

Testing suggests that the Wilson DXi Superlight driver has the lightest measured MOI on the market - the dynamic measurement of effort needed to swing a club.

As a result the Wilson DXi Superlight driver should help golfers produce an effortless and controlled swing.

The clubhead has selectively thinned, non-structural areas of the crown and sole that has reduced the weight by six grams. Further weight reductions have been made possible courtesy of the 48g Matrix Ozik superlight shaft and a 28g WinnLite Firm grip.

The Wilson DXi Superlight driver features a modified 5-Zone Cup-Face design that has expanded the sweet spot from previous drivers. the driver will be available from February 2012 at, RRP £199.99.

Golf Monthly will have more on the Wilson DXi Superlight driver both online and in a future issue of the magazine.
