Wilson Staff unveils FG Tour M3 range

Wilson Staff has announced the launch of its new FG Tour M3 range of clubs after significant input from Wilson Staff tour pros.

Feedback from European Advisory players Padraig Harrington, Paul Lawrie, Anthony Wall and Andreas Harto contributed considerably to the FG Tour M3 range, which encompasses irons, hybrids and adjustable woods.

The new club family – which features the latest lightweight technology and the facility to customise – is designed for accomplished golfers.

Wilson Staff maintains its matte-black carbon-steel FG Tour M3 irons offer both high levels of forgiveness and impressive feel and workability.

The progressive cavity design optimises weight through the set, so the club is thinner nearer the impact area in long-irons (increased ball speeds) and thicker in short irons (greater precision).

The FG Tour M3 driver, fairway woods and hybrids feature a Multi-Fit System, allowing both loft and weight to be customised.

On woods, launch angle can be modified through six adjustable hosel settings, and three interchangeable sole weights (three, seven and 11 grams) can be employed to increase club head and ball speeds.

The FG Tour M3 driver – Wilson Staff’s first adjustable model – comes in a standard 9.5 degree loft, but can be shifted down to 8.5 and up to 11.5 degrees.

FG Tour M3 fairway woods, meanwhile, come in three head variations (13.5, 15 and 17 degree standard lofts) with the facility to adjust between 12.5 and 19 degrees, while the four standard hybrids – 17, 19, 21 and 23 degrees – have three loft settings for better turf interaction, trajectory and distance.

“The Tour players were instrumental in helping us dial in the look, feel, trajectory and specs for the clubs,” said Michael Vrska, Wilson Golf’s Global Director for R&D.

“Wilson Staff R&D has shown that virtually all players, from low handicappers to Tour Staff, will increase both distance and control by using ‘The Right Light’ Technology.

“Applied to this range, it optimises head, shaft and grip weight to improve performance,” he added.

The FG Tour M3 range is available from October, with the following RRPs:

FG Tour M3 irons (4-PW): £599 steel and £699 graphite
FG Tour M3 driver: £249
FG Tour M3 fairway woods: £179
