Club Car Hand Olazabal Ryder Cup Memento
Club Car presented Olazabal with unique buggy to commemorate Miracle at Medinah
Jose Maria Olzabal was this week presented with a special plate signed by the winning 2012 European Ryder Cup team courtesy of Club Car.
Club Car, the world's largest manufacturer of small-wheel, zero emissions electric vehicles, provided Olazabal his unique buggy at the site of this week's Open de Espana at Parador de El Saler.
Sergio Garcia joined in on the fun as the handover took place.
"It has now become part of tradition that we present these signed Club Car vehicles," said Kevin Hart, Club Car's Sales Director Golf for the EMEIA regions.
"They offer the Captain an incredible souvenir of the Ryder Cup and, for Jose Maria, it brings back many great memories from Medinah Country Club."
Olazabal masterminded the historic 14.5-13.5 European victory in Chicago last September.
Club Car has a rich history with The Ryder Cup - it has been associated with the event since 1999. Last year it supplied vehicles for both Captains, all Vice-Captains, all team and match officials, as well as all on-course television and event logistics.
