ClubstoHire.com has agreed a clothing sponsorship deal with the prestigious Paddy Harrington golf school in County Kildare.

The club rental company - which opened in 2010 thanks to investment from Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley - will sponsor garments worn by the stars of the academy's Paddy Harrington Golf Scholarship.

The scholarship programme - based at 2013 Irish Open host venue Carton House - is regarded as the best of its kind in Ireland.

"As a brand ambassador for ClubstoHire, I'm delighted the company is supporting the Paddy Harrington scholarship programme, where some of the very best young Irish golfers are developing," said McGinley.

Barry Fennelly, manager of the programme, said: "We're extremely grateful for the support ClubstoHire has given us and look forward to working with them in the future to build our reputation in the sport."

ClubstoHire stocks the latests sets of golf clubs from some of golf's leading brands from its 16 locations throughout Europe.

"It's a privilege to support the Scholarship at NUI Maynooth," said Tony Judge, CEO of ClubstoHire.

"Although we're expanding internationally, our roots are firmly based in Ireland and we're proud to be a small part of the next generation of Irish stars."
