As the European team are looking to win the Solheim Cup for the first time on United States soil, ECCO have used state-of-the-art technology to create a special edition shoe for the players.
The tournament begins on Friday at Rich Harvest Farms in Illinois, with the best female golfers from Europe taking on the best of what America has to offer, and the Danish shoe manufacturer ECCO has got in on the action.
The European team will be wearing special edition golf shoes with the European Union flag incorporated into them, and have been inspired by the history and tradition of the Solhiem Cup.
Julie Inkster, American Solheim Cup veteran and ECCO staff player will also be wearing special edition shoes during the tournament, which will be all-white with red, white and blue stitching details.
ECCO, whose shoes are worn by some of the biggest names on the international Tour, including the likes of Thomas Bjorn and Colin Montgomerie, hope this special edition shoe will help the European team to victory with the shoe providing superior walking comfort and improving stability during the golf swing.
