The innovative new BB5 from GolfBuddy has many useful functions and is designed to look good when worn on and off the course

The new GolfBuddy BB5 GPS wristband (RRP £199.95) opens up a new category of GPS device, taking everything that’s great about a GPS watch and slimming it down it into a modern wristband. It features over 37,000 courses worldwide and includes a time mode, play mode and pedometer.

Like you’d expect, it displays distances to the front, centre and back of the green and an LED display makes it easily readable in all light conditions.

The battery life is 13-hours in golf mode and 20 days when used just as a watch.  Colour options include 3-pack of red/navy/orange or 3-pack of blue/pink/green.

“The global rise of the fitness band has firmly established ‘wearable tech’ and the launch of the BB5 positions GolfBuddy once again at the forefront of bringing the latest mainstream consumer trends to golf,” said GolfBuddy’s John Ennis.

“The BB5 delivers outstanding distance measuring accuracy to the front, middle and back of over 500,000 worldwide golf course greens and also provides shot distance measurement, so golfers can record how far they hit each club.

“It’s very slim and light when compared to GPS watches, so appeals to golfers who don’t currently like to wear a watch when they play, or lady and junior golfers looking for a lighter or more comfortable GPS option.”

The BB5 is available in April.
