The value of GreenFree, the country's leading two-for-one green fee voucher, has been highlighted by the announcement of Golf Monthly's top 100 UK and Ireland golf course rankings 2012.

A host of GreenFree member courses were included in the prestigious rankings, helping to demonstrate why the brand has built up such a strong following over the last ten years.

Some 22 GreenFree courses are included in Golf Monthly's latest rankings, meaning golfers have the chance to play some of the best courses in the country for half the normal price.

"Our objective has always been to provide value for money to the golfer, as well as present golf clubs with the opportunity to supplement their regular green free revenues," said Dave Lynchehaun, GreenFree's Brand Manager.

"The rankings clearly demonstrate the quality of golf courses that people can play through GreenFree.

Meanwhile, the breadth of courses underlines the vast array of options available, no matter the budget or location."

Some of the renowned courses featured in the rankings include The Grove, Ryder Cup venue The Belfry and European Tour BMW Championship host Wentworth.

More than 1,000 courses currently comprise GreenFree's ever-increasing portfolio. Over 50 new courses have joined the scheme thus far in 2012, including the Tom MacKenzie-designed Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire and the Marriott Dalmahoy in Edinburgh.

GreenFree vouchers can be redeemed over a 12-month period, giving golfers and golf clubs greater flexibility.

GreenFree is available in-store at WHSmith and online at www.greenfree.co.uk and via Tesco Direct.
